Spring has arrived and, as the days become warmer and longer, life here in Kilburn becomes busier. Our Visitor Centre and the ‘T’ Café re-open on Good Friday and we always look forward to welcoming back many of our regular customers as well as meeting new customers who may be visiting this part of NorthYorkshire for the first time. Invariably, new visitors comment on the quiet pace of life in the village which contrasts with the hive of activity found in our workshop.The village of Kilburn really is an embodiment of my great grandfather’s philosophy ‘industry in quiet places’. Ian Thompson Cartwright
