CH010
Solid Oak Monk’s Chair CH010
This extremely comfortable chair was originally designed and made for the Ampleforth College Library in the 1920s. Early examples can be found with a pair of monk's or saint's heads carved on either side of the curved back. Our present-day version has a curved back with shaped arms over four carved octagonal legs and three lattice panels joined by a cross stretcher at floor level. It has a flame retardant foam seat covered with cow hide and fixed with a choice of antique brass or chrome upholstery tacks.
