The original design of this table was created by Robert Thompson in 1924 to celebrate the birth of his first grandchild. Two tables were made by Robert, one for his granddaughter Jean Cartwright, the other her mother, his daughter, Elsie Cartwright.
The oak used to produce this piece comes from the Worsley family estate, Hovingham, North Yorkshire and only ninety-nine tables were made. These sold immediately to our collectors and are rare to come to the market.

Beautiful condition with a rich medium fume oak colour with beautiful patina. This has been refurbished at our workshop in Kilburn , North Yorkshire by our skilled craftsmen.
